Hi, as stated on the main page, my name is Jessica Nelson. I chose to do daycare because I love children. I am 23 years old and have been married for 2 happy years.
What do we do at the daycare? Well...we have some structure, but do a lot of what the kids like to do. I believe that kids should be kids and not made to grow up too soon. We will do a variety of things in the day. We have free play time, story time, craft time, rest/nap time, t.v. time, outside play time and the list can go on and on. I do a preschool program with the children which consists of different crafts and activities. We try to have a different theme every 2 to 4 weeks that they kids learn about something new. Each theme will help the children learn colors, numbers and shapes and also about different animals and holidays through out the year.

Spring is on the Way!!!
March Theme
In March we are doing things related to spring. We will do activities about St. Patricks day, Easter, and general spring items. The kids will listen to storys about spring and sing songs about Easter and St. Patricks day. We are growing a flower inside so that the kids can watch it grow and learn about how to take care of plants as well. When the weather is warm enough outside we will spend a lot of our days outside to see the changes it.
Next Month.....
April we will be learning about how rain helps plants to grow and also about earth day. The children will start to learn about recycling and how they can help to save the earth as well.
